Vintage Closet System Kit (shipped)
The Casita Closet Kit enhances storage space by creating shelves inside the closet that leave a bit of hanging space, as well as concealed storage in your 17’ Deluxe Casita (any model) manufactured from 2013 and before. We have done a 1999. If yours is older please check with us. Please watch video to see if yours is Vintage.
The shelves are designed for storing clothing, linens, dry goods, and other lightweight items. We do not recommend loading them up with canned goods. They are spaced so that “packing cubes” used for suitcases fit easily and securely. About 8” of hanging space remains when the shelves are installed according to the plan.
The closet system was originally custom designed to fit a 2006. But we have figured out a way to make it fit nearly all Casita Deluxe 17’s built before 2013, with some trimming.

All Casitas are built by hand and no two Casitas are exactly the same, so the amount of trimming and the specific locations for trimming must be determined by the installer. Typically, the shelves must be trimmed at the edges (between ¼” and ¾” is common, and rarely a little more). Nearly always, they must be trimmed to clear around the water pipes, which vary widely in placement.
The Casita Closet Kit will need a competent installer, with good carpentry skills and appropriate tools for cutting and refining the edges of the shelves and the base to fit the closet space precisely. The tools required include: an electric drill with screwdriver bits (#2 Phillips, #1 square drive bit, and #2 square drive bits), a jigsaw, and optionally, an electric sander.
If you do not have the skills or tools to modify the shelves, we recommend that you have the kit installed. We will adjust shelves as needed to fit your model.
PRODUCT INFO
The Casita Closet is made from 1/2 Baltic Birch with a UV coating on both sides.
It has 5 edge-banded shelves, a base with a hatch, and a base support system. The kit includes the hardware required to install it, as well as detailed instructions.
A YouTube video link with further instructions will be emailed to the customer once the kit has been shipped.
The unit weighs about 34 pounds.

Currently your order puts you on a list for the Casita Closet, as our production is limited by the size of our operation. As soon as your closet kit is available, we will send you an invoice. Once your payment is received, we will ship the closet kit to you.
SHIPPING/HANDLING INFO
- Shipping is by UPS ground, and typically takes 5-6 business days once your payment is processed.
- Shipping and handling is $99.00 within the Continental US.
- We do not ship outside of the Continental US without prior arrangement. The cost of shipping will be determined upon request, and must be agreed to by the purchaser.
RETURN AND REFUND POLICY
This kit is made to order for your trailer. We do not offer returns or refunds on this kit because it is made to order. Thanks for your understanding.
SALES TAX
We calculate applicable sales tax on the invoice we send you. All billing is done manually.
PRICE INCREASE
The worldwide pandemic has disrupted the supply chain of building materials, and this has led in turn to a worldwide shortage of plywood and lumber, as well as other materials that we use in Casita Closets. This has also led to unprecendented price increases in the materials we use. Due to this dramatic increase in our supply costs, we have had to raise our prices. We apologize for any inconvenience this causes our customers.
