The Casita Closet Kit enhances storage space by creating shelves inside the closet that leave a bit of hanging space, as well as concealed storage in your 17’ Deluxe Casita (any model) manufactured from 2014 after.
The shelves are designed for storing clothing, linens, dry goods, and other lightweight items. We do not recommend loading them up with canned goods. They are spaced so that “packing cubes” used for suitcases fit easily and securely. About 8” of hanging space remains when the shelves are installed according to the plan.
The closet system was originally custom designed to fit Katy and Louis’ 2019 Spirit Deluxe, but we have figured out ways to make it fit nearly all Casita Deluxe 17’s built after 2014 (and some of those built late in 2013).
Important: If your Casita was built in 2013, watch the video link on the home page about measuring it, to determine if the system will work in your model. If the measurements of your closet are similar to the closet in the video, the kit should work.
All Casitas are built by hand and no two Casitas are exactly the same, so the amount of trimming and the specific locations for trimming are determined during installation.
PRODUCT INFO
The Casita Closet is made from 1/2 Baltic Birch with a UV coating on both sides.
The closet has 5 shelves, a base with a hatch, and a base support system.
The unit weighs about 34 pounds.
ORDERING INFO
Currently we have kits available. This website is for placing orders only. We will send you an invoice with payment information after reviewing your order and scheduling your installation.
If you are in and/or traveling near the Houston, Texas, or in central Texas, near Lampasas, installations can often be scheduled within a week or two.
We also schedule “install parties” at some fiberglass rallies, as well as several times a year at campgrounds near the Casita factory in Rice, Texas. We’ll be posting availability on our home page, but, if you’re interested, send us an email, or open a chat, and we’ll see what we can figure out.
SHIPPING/HANDLING INFO
There is no charge for shipping/handling on an installed closet system.
If you arrange for an install at your home or other site, there may be a travel fee which would be arranged at the time of scheduling.
RETURN AND REFUND POLICY
This closet system is installed to order for your trailer. We do not offer returns or refunds on it because it is customized. Thanks for your understanding.
SALES TAX
We calculate applicable sales tax on the invoice we send you. All billing is done manually.
PRICE INCREASE
The worldwide pandemic has disrupted the supply chain of building materials, and this has led in turn to a worldwide shortage of plywood and lumber, as well as other materials that we use in Casita Closets. This has also led to unprecedented price increases in the materials we use. Due to this dramatic increase in our supply costs, we have had to raise our prices. We apologize for any inconvenience this causes our customers.
